BigHit Music renews contract with all BTS members sequentially, Hybe says, β€œWe can participate in BTS’s activities as a whole group”.

All members of the group BTS have renewed their contracts with Big Hit Music. This makes it possible to continue activities as a group even after 2025, when the members’ military service obligations end.

According to Hybe on the 20th September, it was reported that the board of directors’ resolution on renewing the exclusive contracts of seven BTS members under Big Hit Music (under Hybe) has been completed.

Based on this board of directors’ resolution, Big Hit Music plans to sequentially renew contracts with BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

BTS, which debuted as an idol group under Big Hit Entertainment in 2013, emerged from obscurity through various activities over a long period of time and was reborn as a top group representing Korea.

In particular, BTS is achieving an unprecedented record as an Asian artist by sweeping the top spots on world charts such as the US Billboard Chart, UK Official Chart, and Japan Oricon Chart.

They also set a record of performing at all three major American music award ceremonies: the Grammy Awards, the American Music Awards, and the Billboard Music Awards.

In addition, the ‘UN’ activities and the ‘LOVE MYSELF’ campaign, which demonstrated their influence as a global artist, received a lot of applause.

BTS members have been carrying out group and solo activities in parallel since 2022. The activities of BTS members moving in new directions are expected to become more diverse.

However, Big Hit Music announced that it would consider the military service status of members currently serving in the military.

An official from Hybe said, “With the renewal of the contract, we will be able to participate in BTS’ full-length activities, which we hope to do in 2025. Hybe and Big Hit Music will provide all possible support to further strengthen the status of BTS.”
