K-pop girl group BLACKPINK will release their second studio album titled Born Pinkon September 16, 2022 (Friday).

YG Entertainment posted a teaser image for BLACKPINK’s 2nd regular album ‘BORN PINK’ on their official blog on the 10th.  On a light gray background, the album logo, fang artwork, and ‘2022.09.16’ number are clearly engraved on a sharp shiny metal textured poster.

YG said, “The album name ‘BORN PINK’ revealed in the teaser poster represents the boldness and confidence of BLACKPINK, who has had a unique presence since debuted. Please look forward to the album which is full of music that matches BlackPink’s unique identity, which is the fatal aura itself.”

Pre-sale runs until September 15th. Prior to this, BLACKPINK will release the pre-released song ‘Pink Venom’ and music video on August 19, 2022 at 1 pm (Korean time).

According to YG Entertainment, The new song ‘Pink Venom’ is a song that expresses BLACKPINK’s unique charm in a deeper and more intense way”.

Specific details such as album track list are not released yet, the full album will release on September 16, and the BLACLPINK ‘Born Pink’ World Tour will start from 15 October, 2022.

It is also a song that announces the start of the project for the second full-length album of  BLACLPINK ‘BORN PINK’, which comes out in about a year and 11 months after the first full-length album ‘THE ALBUM‘.

BLACKPINK ‘Born Pink’ World Tour is expected to have about 1.5 million viewers in total, the largest number for a K-pop girl act.

Blackpink ‘Born Pink’ World Tour is schedule for 36 concerts in 26 cities, saying more cities may be added.

The tour will begin with two concerts in Seoul on Oct. 15 and 16. The group will then move to the U.S. for 10 concerts in seven cities. Afterwards, it will tour six European cities until the end of the year.

In next year, 11 concerts will be held in 9 Asian cities through May, and the group will wrap up the tour with five concerts in three cities in Oceania.
