The girl group BLACKPINK released the music video for ‘Pink Venom’ and showed affection and confidence in their new song ‘Pink Venom’.

Blackpink returns as a whole group after 1 year and 10 months and released their ‘Pink Venom’ MV of their 2nd regular album “Born Pink“.

BlackPink held a global press conference to commemorate the release of the pre-release song ‘Pink Venom‘ of their 2nd regular album ‘BORN PINK’ on the YouTube channel at 10 am on the 19th August.

On this press conference, Jennie said, “I thought it would be nice to see BlackPink’s identity as a pre-release song. Like Blackpink, ‘Pink’ and ‘Venom’ have a reversal of meaning, don’t they? I wanted to express it with words like ‘lovely poison’. I think it’s a song that contains our own BLACKPINK.”

Blackpink member Rosé said, “I heard ‘Pink Venom’ for the first time in the studio, and it seems to have a very new sound that we have not tried before. So I wants to show you how to perform this song on stage quickly.”

BlackPink member Lisa said, “I really like all the songs in the new full album, but I wanted to give Blink (fandom name) a listen to ‘Pink Venom’ first. After listening to this song, you will be looking forward to the full 2nd full album.”

Rosé said, “Rather than breaking any record, we want the fans to enjoy our music more as we prepared harder than ever”. It indirectly revealed the desire to break the record by saying, “Doesn’t the fact that we have a record mean that our fans like it?”

Pink Venom‘ is a hip-hop genre song with BLACKPINK’s unique charisma. The strong beat and sound of traditional Korean instruments fill the intro, and the sharp rap and deadly vocals on top of it maximize the charm.

In the drop part of the minimal beat that follows, the addictive melody immediately expands the emotional line and leads the listener to a musical climax, providing a thrilling pleasure.

The music video for BlackPink ‘Pink Venom‘ has the highest production cost in YG history, the song satisfy the eyes and ears of many global fans with an overwhelming set of sets, a magnificent atmosphere, and a splendid performance.

On the other hand, BlackPink “Born Pink” album surpassed 1.5 million pre-orders within a week of pre-sale, and the teaser recorded more than 130 million views on YouTube.

YG entertainment said, “The pre-release song ‘Pink Venom’ from the BLACKPINK 2nd regular album is the beginning of the ‘BORN PINK’ project that will continue until 2023 as well as the second half of this year. Please look forward to the performances of those who will once again elevate the status of K-pop.”

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will perform a special stage at ‘MTV VMA’s‘, one of the four major American music awards ceremonies on August 28th.
