‘My Universe’, a collaboration between BTS and Coldplay, topped the US Billboard’s main single chart. Coldplay is an alternative rock band formed in London in 1997.
Billboard announced on the 4th October through the official social SNS that ‘My Universe’ ranked first in the first week of release on the main single chart ‘Hot 100’. ‘My Universe’, released on the 24th September.
‘My Universe’ drew 11.5 million streams in the United States alone, and recorded 5.5 million radio airplay and 127,000 downloads. It is the first time in 13 years since ‘Viva La Vida’ in 2008 that it topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
‘My Universe’ previously took third place in the UK Official Chart Top 100. The UK Official Chart compiles about 50 charts covering albums and singles, and among them, the single chart is ranked based on album sales, music downloads, and number of streaming.

According to the latest chart released by Spotify (as of September 25), the song was streamed 6,768,788 times on the first day of release, and ranked 3rd at the same time as entering the ‘Global Top 200’ chart.
Meanwhile, ‘My Universe’ will be included in Coldplay’s 9th album ‘Music Of The Spheres’, which will be released on the 15th.
