The group BTS has won 3 awards at the Billboard Music Awards BBMAs 2022.
BTS were nominated for 6 categories at the ‘2022 Billboard Music Awards‘ BBMAs and in which they have won 3 awards.
- Top Duo/Group
- Top Song Sales Artist
- Top Selling Song – Butter
With this BTS now becomes the most awarded group in the history of BBMAs Billboard’s Music Awards with a total of 12 awards.
BTS won ‘Top Duo/Group‘ at BBMAs for a 3rd consecutive year. BTS ties One Direction for the most ‘Top Duo/Group’ wins in BBMAs history (3 each).
This year BTS did not participated in the ‘Billboard Music Awards‘ which was held in Las Vegas, USA on the 15th May.
BigHit Music announced earlier that, “BTS will not be attending the BBMAs ‘2022’ hosted by the American music media Billboard held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
There is no official reason given for BTS absence on BBMAs, but the music industry were observing that BTS is preparing for a comeback with a new album ‘Proof‘ which is coming out on June 10th.
Also, It is known that there are no special performances prepared by BTS for the BBMAs awards ceremony this year cause no new song released recently this year.

In particular, two songs including ‘Butter’ and ‘Permission to Dance’ were nominated for the ‘Top Selling Song’ category at BBMAs, so there are a total of 7 nominations by BTS in which Butter by BTS won the category.
Last year BTS ‘Butter’ topped Billboard’s main single chart ‘Hot 100’ for a total of 10 weeks, so it is expected to win multiple awards. ‘Butter’ was the most number-one song on the ‘Hot 100‘ that year.
Meanwhile, BTS will make a comeback with a new album “Proof” on June 10th, 2022 at 1PM KST.
BTS has also released the Tracklist of their upcoming new album “Proof” which have a total of 19 songs including the title song ‘Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)‘.
